Overview
West 27th Place is 161 units and 452 beds of student housing near USC, over 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The building was certified LEED Platinum.
- Challenge
- USC was turning from a commuter campus into a residential one and was short of beds for it. The university is landlocked in central Los Angeles with little room to expand.
- Vision
- At USC, freshmen live in dorms and greek sophomores live in greek houses. We bought the site at the end of greek row, at Figueroa and 27th, to house the juniors and seniors after them.
- Results
- Delivered in June 2010 with CityView and Symphony Development and fully leased the following month for the August term. Sold in 2025.
