The Broadway is 423 apartments over double-height ground-floor retail bays in Oakland's Broadway Valdez District.
Challenge
A contaminated former Chevrolet dealership on Oakland's Auto Row, in a district the City had planned for housing where none had yet been built.
Vision
We kept the dealership's showroom and marquee on the corner and built 423 homes around them, within walking distance of Oakland's largest hospital employers.
Results
Delivered in 2019 with Blackstone. Named a 2018 Real Estate Deal of the Year by the San Francisco Business Times.
